Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of EU-Jordan cross-border cooperation initiatives on sustainable development and regional integration. Focusing on key frameworks such as the Global Europe strategy, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), and the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), the study examines how these partnerships advance Jordan’s development objectives, establishing it as a significant regional partner for sustainable development. Using content analysis and a review of secondary data, the research explores the contributions of these initiatives to regional economic growth, efficient resource management, and digital integration. Findings highlight the progress made in aligning Jordan’s policies with EU sustainability standards, improving resource efficiency, and fostering an environment conducive to digital innovation. Despite challenges, these partnerships enhance Jordan’s role as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East, bolstering both regional stability and sustainable growth. The study concludes that EU-Jordan partnerships serve as a model for international cooperation, providing valuable insights for fostering sustainable development in other regions through cross-border collaboration.
